Bride and groom, Ariel and Kyle, tied the knot at the enchanting Meadow Ridge on Hudson in Coxsakie, New York. From the stunning backdrop of this idillic upstate New York farm to the handcrafted details, this wedding was a true celebration of love and personal expression.

A Modern Take on a Traditional Farm Setting

The venue's pastoral setting, setback in the country of upstate New York and just a few minutes from the vibrant and artistic community in Hudson, served as a breathtaking backdrop for Ariel and Kyle’s special day. Using the venue's sprawling wildflower fields, rustic farmhouse architecture, and gorgeous views as inspiration, the couple planned and designed their wedding pairing warm traditional and modern elements to perfectly compliment the bucolic landscape.

Here Comes the Bride, the Groom, and the Puppy!

The timeless wedding style didn’t stop with the venue and decor; the couple (and their Dalmatian, Otis) were also dressed to impress! Ariel donned a gorgeous off-white mermaid-style lace gown with dramatic train. The groom, Kyle, sported a timeless black tuxedo and black bow tie perfectly complimented by modern suede loafers. Pets are family, and Ariel and Kyle's Dalmatian, Otis, was no exception. He also sported a sleek tuxedo harness which perfectly complimented his iconic black and white spots. Otis was not just a guest; he was a part of the celebration, being depicted as a small figurine on their stunning wedding cake. Otis's presence throughout the day was a heartwarming reminder of the bond that their little family shared.

A Ceremony in the Woods

The ceremony was held in a tent nestled amidst the forest of the farm, offering guests a breathtaking view of the Hudson River. Ariel and Kyle exchanged their vows in an intimate and beautiful ceremony, creating a heartfelt atmosphere that will forever be etched in the memories of all who attended. After the ceremony, we took advantage of the farm’s wildflower fields for some stunning sunset portraits.

Handcrafted and Unique Details

Ariel, a true artisan at heart, poured her heart and soul into crafting many of the wedding details herself. From the elegant stationery and invitation suite, to hand-painted signage and escort cards, Ariel's artistic talents added a unique and personal touch to every aspect of the celebration. Each detail carried a piece of her and Kyle's love story, making their wedding truly one-of-a-kind. Ariel’s amazing work was supported by abundant florals in soft pinks, blushes, creams, and white. The decor had a rustic charm, including large wooden farmhouse tables, cross-back chairs, soft linen tablecloths, and delicate candles.

Adding to the artisan and handcrafted styling of the wedding, the bride and groom opted to incorporate film photography. We love photographing weddings on film and find it adds an additional layer of quality and intentionality to what we do. We were thrilled with how these film images came out!

One other special touch: in the months leading up to their wedding, Ariel and Kyle made custom tie-dyed shirts for all their guests! These vibrant and colorful shirts not only brought a sense of unity to the celebration but also reflected the couple's vibrant personalities and the fun-loving spirit of the day.

The Reception

As the sun set over the Hudson River, the festivities moved to Meadow Ridge’s historic barn for the reception. Featuring massive hand-hewn wood beams accented by modern chandeliers, this reception space was the epitome of rustic charm and provided an ideal backdrop for a celebration of love. Guests enjoyed a delicious meal and danced the night away to incredible performances from a live band.
